HARCHESTER TAKE TITLE
PREMIERSHIP REPORT
Harchester United (Jon Hulls) has done what was done to them last year and pipped Tommat Rovers (Grahame Hill) to the Premiership title in the final weeks. Tommat have been leading for many weeks only to be overtaken at the last minute. They won the title by a comfortable 57 points in the end with another impressive weeks scoring. Tommat Rovers’ consolation is though that they did end up in second position though with Gwilly Goats (Ben Gwilliam) in third.
The end of the campaign for De La Cruz Nutmegs Zidane (Lee Marshall) was slightly distracted by the manager having to concentrate on his newly born child but still managed to end up in fourth. Stumpy’s Pumpy’s (Ali Watkins), Lloyd’s Dreamers (Andy Lloyd), Stox’s Wanderers (Nick Stockley), Nunez for Owen! (Lee Creese), My Sponsorship (Robert Hall) and Sexy Football (Dave Taylor) all managed top ten finishes.
The relegated teams from the Premiership this year were Hally’s Heroes (Stu Hall), Lord Bucklow’s XI (Mike Hemmings) and Premier Bond (Neil Bond) who were at the bottom for the majority of the season.
Week 38's highest Premiership scorers were leaders Harchester United (Jon Hulls) for the second week running with only Redford United (Stewart Taylor) and Nunez for Owen! (Lee Creese) managing to get over ninety points.
WHITMORE UNITED EASY TITLE WIN
CHAMPIONSHIP REPORT
Whitmore United (Ash Whitmore) won the Championship by a massive 109 points to ease to the title. They were ahead of Leeds The Way (John Stroud) who managed to hold onto second place from Chris Crackers (Chris Gresty) who ended up just four points behind and get promoted to the Premiership next season.
Hulls City (Charlie Hulls) finished fourth with Double O Seven Eleven (Bobby Bonds) and Brummie Hopefuls (Geoff Davies) just behind them. Jocksnville Jaguars (Marcus McKie) ended up in 7th place with Baylo’s Bombers (Mark Bayliss), Probes United (Simon Probyn) and Any Holes A Goal (Matt Brunt) making up the top 10.
The top scorer’s prize in the Championship for this week went to Chris’s Crackers (Chris Gresty) with 84 points and fittingly, leaders Whitmore United (Ashley Whitmore) managed a healthy 80 points.
The average points score this week was 64.50pts.
Nunez for Owen (Lee Creese) are the only team that owes their team entry fee and Camp Freddies (Ian Goodenough) owe for transfers made. Please can we ensure these fees are paid ASAP.
Finally, all that's left to say is thank you to everyone who took part this year and hopefully you will particpate again next year.
